Our Policies
Modern Slavery Statement
Perthshire Zoo Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our dealings, and to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our own operations and our supply chains.
Who we are
Perthshire Zoo Ltd is a charity registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), reg. SC053939, at Auchingarrich, Comrie, near Crieff, Perthshire, PH6 2JE. As a small charity we fall below the turnover threshold that makes a statement a legal requirement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, but we publish this voluntarily as a statement of our values.
Our commitment
We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. We expect the same standard from everyone we work with, including our staff, volunteers, contractors and suppliers.
Our people
Everyone who works or volunteers with us does so freely. We follow fair and lawful recruitment and employment practices, pay at least the applicable minimum wage, and treat our team with dignity and respect. Concerns can be raised in confidence with our management or Trustees.
Our suppliers
We seek to work with suppliers who share our values, and we consider ethical and welfare standards when sourcing goods and services. Where concerns arise, we will investigate and, if necessary, end the relationship.
Raising a concern
If you have any concern that modern slavery may be taking place in connection with our charity, please contact us in confidence at help@perthshirezoo.co.uk. In an emergency, always call 999.
